Woolram Border Collies
The affix Woolram was applied for when I bred my first litter in 1990 and since then I have bred a further five litters resulting in two bitches becoming Show Champions.
From my last litter I kept a male dog – Woolram Lothario CDex UDex WDex TDex (AWB) (Sketch)
He and his mother (Puds – see below) are the only Border Collies to have gained both Working Trials and Agility titles.
He has currently sired 10 litters and recently one of his son’s, ‘Tyke’ has just passed the L1 – Novice tracking test and two others are now G4 agility.
I have owned and bred dogs dogs that have gained working trials qualifications. Sketch and two others have achieved the TDex (Tracking dog ‘Excellent’) title.
Puds – Mobella Careless Whisper for Woolram CDex UDex WDex TDex
Puds has a tremendous attitude for work although letting her enthusiasm taking over from time to time. Puds quickly sailed through the Working Trials stakes and also trained for the PD (Patrol Dog) stake and gained her certificate of merit at her first attempt. Puds was my first agility dog and when I learned how to cope with her tremendous speed and enthusiasm she quickly reached G5 and came 2nd on three separate occasions. Puds like her son ‘Sketch’ are the Border Collies that have gained both Working Trial and agility qualifications.
Bee – Reakasso No Excuse for Woolram CDex, UDex, WDex, TDex.
Bee was a very fast and keen learner. In working Trials, Bee quickly climbed up through the stakes and achieved her TDex first time out. She was awarded ‘Best nose-work’ award twice at championship level.
I have owned or bred three dogs that have gained their stud book number and won first prizes at Crufts dog show.
One of the show champion bitches owned by me, Sh Ch Woolram Elegance, also gained the working trials qualifications CDex, UDex and WDex .
She is still the only dog in the UK to have both show and breed titles.
